Amir Ebrahimi is new IALB institute co-director

ForWind member Prof. Dr. Amir Ebrahimi has succeed Bernd Orlik at the Institute of Electrical Drives, Power Electronics and Devices at the University of Bremen on 1 July 2023. He followed the call to the W3 professorship after holding the junior professorship for hydro generators at the Institute for Drive Systems and Power Electronics at Leibniz Universität Hannover since 2017. This means that he is moving within the ForWind research association and will continue to be involved in the network of northern German wind energy research.

Through his research in the field of large generators and the management of the generator converter laboratory, he and his team at the IAL have been able to build up an excellent international reputation over the last six years. Numerous publications as well as acquired research projects and industrial cooperations are proof of this.
