The existing wind field models are only partially able to do justice to this significance due to the only incomplete consideration of turbulent structures and extreme events. The joint project EMUwind aims to profitably combine the expertise of the research partners in the areas of novel wind measurements, wind modeling and load calculations in cooperation with industrial partners in order to derive improved wind field models and to characterize the uncertainties they contain. For this purpose, on the one hand, extended wind field measurements are carried out and analyzed together with existing measurement data with respect to the new wind field characteristics and parameters.

Content and Methodology:

In the joint project EMUwind, extensive wind field measurements are carried out with remote sensing methods in order to create the data basis for the validation of load calculations on the one hand, and to investigate suitable measurement strategies for the detection of special wind field properties on the other hand. The main objective of AG WE-Sys participation in the project is a SpinnerLidar measurement campaign for surveying long-term wind field statistics with simultaneous high spatial and temporal resolution. Based on this measurement, the extraction of wind field parameters, the reconstructed wind fields based on them and a characterization of extreme gust events will be performed. A measurement period of twelve months in total is targeted, with six months being measured first on the measuring mast of the research platform in Krummendeich and then a further six months in the spinner of a wind turbine at the same location.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_3,1_3,1_3″ _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Project type: Joint project

Duration: 01/2024

Financing: Funding by BMWK

Research partners: Fraunhofer IWES, University of Stuttgart

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]Contact:

University of Oldenburg
Institute of Physics – ForWind
Prof. Dr. Martin Kühn
Küpkersweg 70
D-26129 Oldenburg

Tel: +49 (0)441 / 798-5061
Fax: +49 (0)441 / 798-5099
Email: wesys.office@uol.de[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https://forwind.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/WiValdi.jpg” title_text=”WiValdi” _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_column _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” type=”4_4″][et_pb_cta title=”More information” button_url=”https://www.enargus.de/pub/bscw.cgi/?op=enargus.eps2&q=%2201227560/1%22″ url_new_window=”on” button_text=”To EnArgus” _builder_version=”4.22.1″ _module_preset=”default” background_color=”#0C71C3″ global_colors_info=”{}”]

Project EMUwind at EnArgus (with information about project partners)

[/et_pb_cta][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

EMUwind aims to combine the research partners’ expertise in novel wind measurements, wind modeling, and load calculations to derive improved wind field models

[70,71

post-106041","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","project_category-oldenburg-en","project_category-projects-ongoing
["GET
