The focus is on a holistic view, in which the research focus will be on the interaction of the subsystems in the overall wind turbine system, also taking into account the mutual influence of two separate wind turbines and the effect on the interconnected grid. DFWind &#8211; Phase 1 serves to prepare the research-related upgrading of the two 2.5 MW class research wind turbines and the basic infrastructure funded by the state of Lower Saxony.
