ForWind member Prof. Dr. Amir Ebrahimi will succeed Bernd Orlik at the Institute for Electrical Drives, Power Electronics and Components at the University of Bremen on July 1, 2023. He was appointed to the W3 professorship after holding the junior professorship for hydropower generators at the Institute for Drive Systems and Power Electronics at Leibniz Universität Hannover since 2017. He is thus moving within the ForWind research association and will continue to work in the network of wind energy research in northern Germany.
Through his research in the field of large generators and his management of the generator converter laboratory, he and his team at the IAL have been able to build up an excellent international reputation over the last six years. Numerous publications as well as acquired research projects and industrial cooperations prove this.
