Through the aforementioned memberships, ForWind researchers and institutes are involved in numerous international initiatives and in organizations that are focused on the goal of future climate-friendly energy production. In addition, the institutes are active in the professional associations of their respective research disciplines.

The BWE is fully committed to ensuring that the success story of German wind energy continues and that the vision of “100 percent electricity from renewable sources” in Germany soon becomes reality.

Wind Europe

WindEurope is the voice of the wind industry, actively promoting wind energy across Europe. We have over 400 members from across the whole value chain of wind energy – from wind farm developers to research institutions.

Founded in 2013, the Wind Energy Research Alliance pools the expertise of around 600 scientists to provide groundbreaking impetus for the energy supply of the future.

 

 

European Academy of Wind Energy

EAWE is an international non-profit organization that promotes and supports the development of wind energy science. Our goal is to exploit wind energy to its full potential for the benefit of the world.

 

European Renewables Energy Centres (EUREC)

EUREC is the voice of renewable energy research in Europe, representing European Research Centres active in renewable energy. The purpose of the association is to promote and support the development of innovative technologies and human resources to enable a prompt transition to a sustainable energy system.

Energy Research Center Lower Saxony

The Energy Research Center Lower Saxony (EFZN) is a joint scientific center of the universities of Braunschweig, Clausthal, Göttingen, Hannover and Oldenburg. As a central research, networking and communication platform, it bundles the energy research competencies of the university locations.

European Energy Research Alliance

EERA is a membership-based, non-profit association, constituting the largest low-carbon energy research community in Europe and a key player in the European Union’s Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan.

 

Research at Alpha Ventus

The RAVE research initiative carries out research and development work at the alpha ventus offshore test field to advance the further development of offshore wind energy.

Oldenburg Energy Cluster OLEC e.V.

The Oldenburg Energy Cluster OLEC e.V. is the largest cross-technology energy network in northwestern Germany. Small and large companies as well as universities, institutions, local authorities and educational institutions belong to the network.

Oldenburg Network for Science Communication OLWIK

The Oldenburg Network for Science Communication – OLWIK for short – is an association of various institutions from science and research. OLWIK has made it its mission to bring the scientific work that often happens behind closed laboratory and office doors into the mainstream and make it accessible.
