Continuing education
In addition to good concepts, the energy turnaround also needs experts and specialists to implement projects and help make the sectors of industry, transport, construction and housing and energy use climate-neutral. Careers and qualifications in the field of climate protection are more in demand than ever. We collaborate on a number of in-service training and qualification programs, thus ensuring the education and training of professionals for the wind energy industry.
Advanced training in wind energy technology and management
With the part-time continuing education program Wind Energy Technology and Management (Wind Studies), you build your skills and qualifications on a solid foundation. Through close cooperation with leading companies in the industry, you will be prepared for the current challenges in wind energy.
In just 11 months, you will learn how to efficiently and successfully manage a wind energy project from planning to operation. The continuing education integrates aspects of natural sciences, technology, information technology and business administration, law, planning and project management.

PPRE / Postgraduate Programs Renewable Energy
The European Master in Renewable Energy is designed for engineers who want to specialize in one of the renewable energy technologies such as wind energy, photovoltaic, ocean energy, solar thermal or grid integration. Students begin their studies at the University of Oldenburg and transfer to the respective specialization university in the second semester.
SuRE (formerly known as PPRE) is a regular two-year MSc program that provides a broad foundation in renewable energy. It is aimed at scientists and engineers who wish to pursue a career in this field. During their studies, students pursue either a more application-oriented or a more science-oriented career path. The program’s RE research groups and global collaborative network offer a wide range of opportunities.
Target group
Scientists and engineers who want to deepen and expand their knowledge and expertise in the field of renewable energies and especially wind energy.
Organization
The SuRE program runs for a period of 24 months (four semesters). The EUREC program runs for 16 months. One semester each is completed at the University of Oldenburg and one of the partner universities. The remaining six months are used to complete the master’s thesis in a company or research institute.
