The ForWind Wind Physics Symposium 2023 will take place on Friday, November 17, 2023 in the WindLab.
Following the successful symposia in 2017 and 2019, we are reviving this event format and will return to an annual event cycle.
Meeting researchers from our partner institutes and interested members of industry is always an important factor for our further research. In a series of lectures, the latest research results from ForWind researchers and members of our partner institutes and project partners will be presented in three thematic blocks.
The research topics presented include: mesoscale modeling, cluster effects, short-term forecasts, rotor aerodynamics, wake and data-driven methods for wind farm control. The research methods include computational fluid dynamics on all relevant scales, validation through wind tunnel tests, field measurements and operational data as well as the development of analytical and empirical models.
